Synopsis

Montana is a “microcosmos” of today’s politics. Though low in population, Montana is rich in energy resources. These resouces are both conventional (oil and gas) and renewable (solar, wind, and biofuels). With a population dedicated to preserving the inherited quality of life in this strikingly beautiful place, the stage is set for a convergence of politics, business, and ideals. Senators Max Baucus and Jon Tester along with Governor Brian Schweitzer help us to navigate the drama, pitfalls, and ambitions of this political moment. Can we build a sustainable society around green ideals? Is the macro microcosm at a turning point? A tipping point? Or a point of no return?
